The  Butler

and his freaks

Over summer vacation, Mr. Dodge and Mr. Sargent return to Portland.  THE BUTLER AND HIS FREAKS is born after the pre mature end of The Go Bros.  In an effort to fill the void of rockin' Rick Ringer's absence, Dodge and Sargent introduce a 2 guitar attack featuring dueling wah-wah pedals.

Partly inspired by Mr. Palodichuk’s ability to serve stiff drinks, The Butler and His Freaks also features Mr. Cebula on Bass Guitar, and Mr. Moist on Drums.  Relying on heavy doses of Psychedlia and double wah-wah, The Butler and His Freaks perform at various intimate gatherings and get togethers, including a session known as "The Gun Club Recordings" in Lebanon, Oregon.

Mr. Palodichuk serves as the first Butler.

   “We’ll take Eugene by storm!”

September 27th, 1991:

The Butler and His Freaks makes it’s Eugene debut in the upstairs apartment of Rob Cunningham, Steve Connelly and Marshall.  With Brad Brant serving as their newly acquired Butler, the apartment eventually fills with various students and passerby bouncing to the double wah-wah sound of The Freaks.  The evening culminated in a massive “She Said She Said” (The Beatles) jam, and some have even claimed they were the best band in the world that night.
